So You Want to Make a Change

Maybe, like me, you tried to be healthier and lose weight; had some success lost a few pounds then got stuck and eventually gave up and gained it back. Or maybe you’re currently stuck and getting frustrated and losing hope. Or maybe you want to start but think you won’t succeed. Whatever your story is, wherever you are, I want you to know you ”can” completely change your life. Follow me through my journey and I’ll show you what worked for me personally. It will be difficult and challenging. It will hurt. There will be blood, sweat, and tears. There will be sacrifice like you wouldn’t believe. Are you willing to endure all of it for one of the biggest payoffs you may have in your life?

I thought about starting this off with getting your mindset in the right place. But that will come soon. The most important thing is to start. Just start. Start something, anything. If you’re already going to a gym, step it up. Challenge yourself. That was one of my biggest mistakes. I would go to the gym, do a half-effort workout thinking I was giving my best, then eating really bad food throughout the day and I would wonder why I wasn’t losing any weight. (I will talk about food very soon) What I found that worked wonders is doing group classes at my gym. If your gym doesn’t offer any kind of classes I would highly recommend finding one that does. There is something different about working out with a group of people. Initially I was very hesitant to do a group class. I had a lot of misconceptions about them. I thought it was going to be something like step aerobics to ’80s music.

Boy was I wrong. I found that doing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) will give you a workout unlike anything you’ve ever done before. These classes usually consist of a format of alternating between cardio and strength moves. I thought I was going to puke half-way through my first class. I’ll talk more about classes later. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

Your mindset is going to be a huge factor in your success. If you want to successfully change your health, change your body, and change your life, you have to really, really, really, really, really want it. You have to be willing to go above and beyond what you think you’re capable of. You have to be willing to do what others won’t. I will go in to great detail about mindset and the mental aspect later.

So come join me. Hear a first hand experience of someone who completely changed their life, mentally and physically. If I can help and inspire one person, it will have been worth it.
